THE BEST PARTY...OF OUR LIVES!!!!

First of all HAPPY SUMMER everyone!!!!
Today is the first day of summer!

Today, i learned something new
(that i've known before but re-learned, so to say!)

I read this beutiful interview with Rachel Weisz
(in the July issue of Vogue UK).
To the question "What does being truly content" (now that she's married to Mr. James Bond, Daniel Craig, as the interview emphasized...) means to her she answers:

"Someone once said to me, when I was younger, never to think the best party is somewhere else. I don't go to parties anymore but you know that feeling of being at a party or a club, and you're looking round thinking, we've got to go somewhere else? Well, you can't do that. You've got to think wherever you are is the right place to be."

I had this BLINK -light-bulb-idea-moment!

Recently I have forgotten about this "rule".
I ALMOST became one of those people who complain all the time
ABOUT THE WEATHER,
 about the RAIN
(makes sense since I'm in London and it's raining 6 days a week in mid-June while other people elsewhere are getting sun-strokes),
about the THIS-IS-NOT-ENOUGH
or
I-WANT-MORE...
..and of course, I wasn't happy about all that. Mostly, I wasn't happy for not being happy about it all!
Not only about the rain, because honestly, I'm sure that everyone who is frying their asses off (in wherever they are) would give anything to come to London for a day!

... being grumpy for whatever reason, doesn't help anyone for anything!
We just got to LOVE what we have and where we are because this is the right place to be!

There is always FURTHER, BETTER, HIGHER, MORE... but unless we are happy with HERE and NOW....there is no way we're getting anywhere else...

RIGHT????

And thanks God, today was SUNNY (even in London) and one of those days when you're just whistling and being happy for the sake of it!

And last piece of advice for being content:

Always keep a bottle of champagne in the fridge for special occasions. Sometimes the special occasion is that you've got a bottle of champagne in the fridge.

HAPPY SUMMER 2012
