NYC! "Even if it ain't what it seems I got a pocket full of dreams"...

It's been almost a month since I came to
"probably the most exciting city in the world"!
YEAY!
At first you come here and you think:
" So?! Is that it?! New York? Is it all there is?!"
NY really isn't what you have expected. It seems to be much much less, at first!
Or maybe it is because your expectations from all the movie scenes ARE much higher.
Well, NYC certainly is the only city in the world, which image is built mainly on movies.
So basically, you think you've already seen the whole city, and when you go there you think:
"It looks so much better in the movie"

This doesn't mean that bulgarianprincess is disapponted!
NOT AT ALL!
She is just surprised how different everything looks.
New York looks stunning from far and from above.
my 1st day:the view from the rooftop in Williamsburg where i used to stay when i first arrived
Not sure from below and beneath.
The lights of NY are truly inspiring.
Not so much those of Time's Square!
But the sky, the sun...
Washington Square Garden

One is for sure:
Once you are here, you know you are not missing out on anything!
Once you are here, you know this is the place to be.

I tried to take some pretty pictures, but no matter where i stand all the pictures look the same.
It is not Paris, where every corner is a piece of art.
It is just straight lines and angles.
It is a "concrete jungle where dreams are made of" indeed.

It is the spirit of the people, that makes New York so exciting!
Everybody is somebody:
an actor,
a model,
a singer,
a dancer,
an artist,
a magician,
a musician,
a movie maker,
a writer
a prince
a....
(fill in the blank)

Everybody has their pockets full of dreams.
Everybody is excited and motivated and wants to make it by any means.

There is only one problem though,

the light show representing the twin towers on 9-11 seen from our rooftop
